A comprehensive 2-day week-end workshop with architectural and fine art photographer Richard Sexton. The initial session will cover the basics of architectural photography: controlling perspective through camera movements or PC lenses and the aesthetic and technical implementation of wide angle lens photography. Traditional 4x5 film, digital capture with a Phase One back on a view camera, and a digital SLR with PC and tilt/shift lenses will be demonstrated. Photographic field trips in the French Quarter will incorporate a visit to the photographer's studio in Faubourg Marigny. Additional field trips will provide for photographic sessions in the Garden District, New Orleans cemeteries, and an interior setting.
